Help
Hi Team,

We are working to run xen hypervisor on Salvator-x in QEMU environment. Below listed are the steps that we have tried so far:

* Initially we have built the BSP for Salvator-x using the link below
* https://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Xen_ARM_with_Virtualization_Extensions/Salvator-X<https://ind01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.xenproject.org%2Fwiki%2FXen_ARM_with_Virtualization_Extensions%2FSalvator-X&data=04%7C01%7Csrinidhi.manda1%40ltts.com%7Ca0a87b9fe135470ebfec08d9f76b814e%7C311b33788e8a4b5ea33fe80a3d8ba60a%7C0%7C0%7C637812863379369438%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=BzfMN%2FcXLoTbN5%2BcgGu2gwTdBv2XPAYDIffeou5Uzj8%3D&reserved=0>
* Later, we tried to emulate Salvator-x on to QEMU, for which we didn't find any direct resources. So, we made use of the generic link below and tried to run the final QEMU image using the command
* qemu-system-aarch64 -machine virt,gic_version=3 -machine virtualization=true -cpu cortex-a57 -machine type=virt -smp 4 -m 4096 -display none -serial mon:stdio -bios /...../..../xxxxx/QEMU_EFI.fd -netdev user,id=hostnet0,hostfwd=tcp::2222-:22 -device virtio-net-device,netdev=hostnet0,mac=xxxxxxxxx -drive if=none,file=/..../..../.../core-image-weston-salvator-x-xxxxxxxxx.rootfs.ext4,id=hd0 -device virtio-blk-device,drive=hd0 -boot order=d
* https://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Xen_ARM_with_Virtualization_Extensions/qemu-system-aarch64#Build_QEMU<https://ind01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.xenproject.org%2Fwiki%2FXen_ARM_with_Virtualization_Extensions%2Fqemu-system-aarch64%23Build_QEMU&data=04%7C01%7Csrinidhi.manda1%40ltts.com%7Ca0a87b9fe135470ebfec08d9f76b814e%7C311b33788e8a4b5ea33fe80a3d8ba60a%7C0%7C0%7C637812863379369438%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=OpSCanp2fReu3OeTcZtKTuoLUeQ6ebThEoyCKYdXER0%3D&reserved=0>
* When tried with the command above, we are into the UEFI prompt but, we couldn't find any option for filesystem for xen to boot up(FS0:). The snapshot for the same is also attached in the mail.

So, kindly help us in resolving it and please do let us know if there's something wrong in what we have tried.

with regards,
Sri Nidhi Manda
