#146571 - xen gets stuck at boot with "APIC error on CPU0"
I'm writing this mail on behalf of Robin Green, who was friendly
enough to try the Fedora RPMs, and track down a Xen bug on his
system.

The bug report contains a workaround patch that shows a likely
place where the problem lives. It looks like an APIC problem
on single CPU Athlon systems.

On boot, in the blink of an eye xen gets stuck in a loop, displaying

(XEN) APIC error on CPU0: 02(02)

over and over. Nothing else seems to happen.

Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are,
by definition, not smart enough to debug it." - Brian W. Kernighan
