editing quickbar

Hello, I've just started using mediawiki and the first request I have from
my supervisor is to edit the quickbar. That is take out some of the links
like random page and add new one's. There doesn't seem to be any doc's or
instructions on this, at least that I can find. Can anyone point me in the
right direction to get this done. Thanks in advance. - Joe

It really seems to me that it is quite natural for people to want to
edit this. It should be easily accessible from Special Pages when
logged in as SysOp. TikiWiki even allows users to create and edit their
own individual quickbars!

You also have to edit the string values in includes/Language.php,
right? I tried to edit the tooltip text for each link as well in that
file, but it had no effect. How did you get that to work?

This approach seems like quite a kludge... but it doesn't seem to have
any horrible effects that I could see, so thanks!
