Linux Install == blank page also
Hi everybody!

I found some mail in the list archives about somebody installing
MediaWiki on Linux, but after completing the setup procedure seeing
nothing but a blank page. Well, I have the exact same problem. I wonder
if anyone found a solution for that.

Is PHP installed?

Make a test.php file with the following content:

<? phpinfo(); ?>

And try the file in a browser.
It should display the PHP version running on the server.

By blank page, do you mean it is timing out and then displaying nothing?
If so I'd check out the IRC channel. You'll find good advice there.

Basically, if this is the case, you need to comment out some extraneous
things to get under the timeout limit of your server.

I just had the same experience on a Fedora Core 2 machine and fixed it
by installing the php-devel and php-mysql packages, I hope this helps
:-)
