Greetings,
I manage the email server for the nexaima.net domain on a VPS.
Everything has ran, SPF included, without problems for a few years.
Today the VPS provider had to change the IP address of that server.
Due to a series of misunderstandings and errors which is really not
relevant to discuss, I did not knew in time about this change. I only
realized something had gone wrong _after_ email stopped going and
coming.
Right now I have updated the DNS records of nexaima.net to point to
the new IP address of the VPS. Now I can connect via IMAP and see
email that arrived right before the switch, but:
- cannot send email
- email sent to nexaima.net doesn't arrive
- am not sure if SPF is still configured properly
part of the problem which I only realized a few minutes ago is that I
still have to change the content of /etc/resolv.conf, because the DNS
servers too changed IP address. I am waiting from the VPS provider to
tell me which nameservers I should
use now. The question for the list are:
1) can you please help me to check what the situation is now, ie send
a test email to mfioretti @ nexaima.net and check in your logs what
happens to it?
2) can you please check if the SPF configuration for nexaima.net is
still correct?
TIA,
Marco
