Hi,
I just created a spec file and compiled an RPM for this version.
In the source is the ./redhat/rsyslog.init file. This file references klogd
through, so when I ended up installing the RPM, I couldn't start rsyslog
using the script as it would exit.
If klogd is no longer used in this rsyslog version, could you modify/correct
the rsyslog.init file so that it no longer makes reference to it?
I've already commented out the relevant entries in the file so I could start
up rsyslogd.
Thanks.
Michael.
