rsyslog 3.16.0 on el4
Hi,

I just created a spec file and compiled an RPM for this version.

In the source is the ./redhat/rsyslog.init file. This file references klogd
through, so when I ended up installing the RPM, I couldn't start rsyslog
using the script as it would exit.

If klogd is no longer used in this rsyslog version, could you modify/correct
the rsyslog.init file so that it no longer makes reference to it?

I've already commented out the relevant entries in the file so I could start
up rsyslogd.

Thanks.

Michael.

Michael,

this was contributed code. We even thought about dropping these files
altogether. But as it looks, they seem to be of some value. If you have
a corrected version, I'd appreciate if you could send me these, so that
I can include them into the tarball- I have very limited platform
know-how, so I am depending on other folks to send me startup scripts
and such...

Thanks,
Rainer
