Hi all,
I thought I provide a quick update on RELP, the protocol rsyslog will
use in the future for reliable rsyslog-to-rsyslog communication. I am
currently very actively working on both the protocol and librelp, an
implementation for it.
The RELP "spec" is also growing. It is now available at
http://www.rsyslog.com/doc-relp.html
Those with some deep technical interest might want to have a peek at it.
I have also setup a RELP-specific mailing list. Find it at
http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/relp
The next major feature in rsyslogd will be relp support. Until this is
finished, I am focused on bug fixing.
Rainer
