Mailing List Archive: set default template for omfwd

Hi

I want to change the default template used by omfwd to RSYSLOG_ForwardFormat. I found in the doc* the following directive which is not working for either v8 or v5 versions

$ActionForwardDefaultTemplateName

It would give me

"rsyslogd: invalid or yet-unknown config file command 'ActionForwardDefaultTemplateName' - have you forgotten to load a module?"

I noticed that default template for omfile is declared as:

$ActionFileDefaultTemplate

So i changed the syntax for omfwd to the one below, which did work:

Is $ActionFileDefaultTemplateName a documentation typo?

I am aware I can set the template to use on the omfwd action, but i was looking for a "global" solution.

The documentation for omfwd seems wrong indeed. The directive is
$ActionForwardDefaultTemplate
