Hi,
I have created a basic 16 char key with rscryutil and used it to encrypt
a log.
First time I used the key with rscryutil to decrypt the log it works,
after that it doesn't decrypt the same log if I try it again later after
the log has grown in size.
I have no warning or error messages in /var/log/messages to indicate
what is wrong. System is standard CentOS 7 and rsyslog version:
rsyslogd 8.24.0-57.el7_9.1, compiled with:
PLATFORM: x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu
PLATFORM (lsb_release -d):
FEATURE_REGEXP: Yes
GSSAPI Kerberos 5 support: Yes
FEATURE_DEBUG (debug build, slow code): No
32bit Atomic operations supported: Yes
64bit Atomic operations supported: Yes
memory allocator: system default
Runtime Instrumentation (slow code): No
uuid support: Yes
Number of Bits in RainerScript integers: 64
Is there another step I need to take, please?
Thank you.
Regards,
Richard.
