Frequent Rsyslog daemon crashing
Hi,

We are running rsyslog with the following details on a RHEL 6 platform :-

rsyslogd 8.1901.0 (aka 2019.01) compiled with:
PLATFORM: x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu
PLATFORM (lsb_release -d):
FEATURE_REGEXP: Yes
GSSAPI Kerberos 5 support: No
FEATURE_DEBUG (debug build, slow code): No
32bit Atomic operations supported: Yes
64bit Atomic operations supported: Yes
memory allocator: system default
Runtime Instrumentation (slow code): No
uuid support: Yes
systemd support: No
Number of Bits in RainerScript integers: 64

We are having an issue with the rsyslog daemon regularly crashing, it happens more frequently with load but also (less frequently) at quiet times too so don't believe it is solely related to load.

As per the troubleshooting link here : https://www.rsyslog.com/doc/v8-stable/troubleshooting/troubleshoot.html#segmentation-faults
I have captured the core dump and extracted the requested info using gdb and as per the troubleshooting link am looking to get that to the dev team and the link says to request that here.

So any info on how to get the data to the Devs would be appreciated, thanks.

Regards, Andy.

Just send to rgerhards@adiscon.com. Note: 8.1901.0 is an old version,
but I'll see and have a look if this looks similar to a current one.
Nevertheless an update to 8.1907 and try to see if the problem
persists is probably a good idea.
