i just noticed one thing that works with sendmail and seems not to work
with qmail:
mail libs%cityshop.com@erm1.u-strasbg.fr
but i get an error back when going through the qmail server:
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at erm1.u-strasbg.fr.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

is there a way to enable the behaviour of sendmail?
