Mailing List Archive

Archives of this list. Working link please?
Hello all!

I'm a new (potential) user of qmail.

I've checked all the links to archives of this list that I can find.  None of them seem to work.

Could somebody please send me a link or two to archives of this list, hopefully searchable?

Thanks!

Andrew

As you may have discovered, there was once an archive hosted at
ORNL. That appears to be defunct.

https://marc.info/?l=qmail&r=1&w=1 appears to be complete, but I
haven't completely verified that.

It is worth mentioning, for completeness sake if nothing else, one
other alternative to get the mailing list archives. The ezmlm instance
for qmail@list.cr.yp.to would have archives for every message sent to
the mailing list. Unfortunately in order to retrieve them you have to
jump through additional hoops. Each message is identified by a simple
sequence number -- your message is message 141154, for example. An
empty message (no subject or body necessary) to
qmail-get.141154@list.cr.yp.to will retrieve that message, and the
process can be repeated for the other messages. This method doesn't
have any search capabilities (beyond what is available to you on your
system once you have all 141,154 messages retrieved). Hopefully no one
will need to use this method anytime soon.

Hi Andrew,

Alex link to the qmail list

https://marc.info/?l=qmail&r=1&w=1

is certainly the most up to date source. I have a personal archive (since about 1996) that is actually matching the entries in that list (checking for some entries).

Thus,

a) if you have technical questions regarding, please forward it to the list.

b) if you are a historian, you can depend on the list above.

You should also consider, that alongside with this main qmail list, others do exist: 'qmailannounce' etc.

Regards.
