missing email
Does anyone here experienced lost email? In maillog, it says the email
was delivered but it does not exist on the Mailbox. Here is the
maillog.

Jun 11 04:31:33 mail qmail: 1465590700.147543 starting delivery
1838070: msg 396169 to local alex@nelson.com
Jun 11 04:31:33 mail qmail: 1465590700.178944 delivery 1838070:
success: did_1+0+1/

My .qmail contains the following

[root@mail alex]# cat .qmail
| /var/qmail/bin/mail-quotacheck-20GB
./Maildir/

The mail-quotacheck script came from
https://www.pgregg.com/projects/qmail/mailquotacheck/. It is working
fine because if the user already in quota, you will see it in the
logs.

Hope someone can help.

TIA!

Over the years I have seen many questions from users similar to yours.
Always with the same outcome: the messages _was_ delivered, but always
retreived by pop/imap.

Most of the time the mail is in their mailbox, but on another location
then where they think it should be (strange date, local spamfilter), or
it has been retreived by another user/device.

Check the pop/imap-logs of that user and look for number retrieved mails.

User is using imap so emails are on the server. I will try to disable
the maillquotacheck script. Current size of mailbox is 6GB.
