Hi all,

I'm pretty to announce qmail-chkpw, a checkpassword compliant tool which
can be used with AUTH PLAIN, LOGIN and CRAM-MD5. It is based on
cmd5checkpw, the new part is that passwords have to be stored encrypted
for AUTH PLAIN/LOGIN. A man page is included. For additional information

Initially I did the hack a few years ago. Now I reviewed it and created
a package. I won't say it is really new - but maybe it is useful for
somebody.
