What’s wrong with submitting patches via GitHub?

At a minimum you could maybe email a diff.

Perhaps it's a combination of my browser and my age. There's not much
that I can do about either. I find the github UI completely baffling.
There must be things on pages that other people with other browsers can
see that I can't see, and most of the time when I click on some button
a cutesy little circle starts spinning for hours, but then nothing else
happens until I close the tab. It's Pale Moon, a Firefox derivative,
pretty much unencumbered by any addons (UBP and a tab manager). To be
fair - to github - it isn't the only site of that type that gives any
trouble, but I'm too deep into the quagmire with it in other ways to
face the hassle of getting out.

PS Your (first) mail was offered by a Google server over IPv6 and was
rejected because it didn't pass our (unusual) SPF tests. Sorry, it's
nothing personal. Google servers (try to) send us lots of garbage, so
everything from AS15169 gets special treatment. I'm not always quick
enough to pull the messages out of the pit before they're rejected but
as you see I do look at them. Your second mail wasn't via Google, so
no problem. :)
