Large alerts DB
My /var/lib/ntopng/ directory seems to be consuming 8.1GB of space. Of that, 6.2GB seems to be in the /1/alerts/alerts_v20.db file. Is this just a poorly named file that contains more than just alerts, or do I have some kind of serious problem?

Re: Large alerts DB [ In reply to ]
Unused space used occupied by alerts_v*.db files is reclaimed every day at midnight localtime. This should shrink the file automatically. The reason for a huge size of the file can be:
- Very large number of alerts
- Old ntopng version which is not reclaiming space
- ntopng not running at midnight localtime

By the way. It is safe to turn ntopng off and delete the file manually, if you can afford losing generated alerts.

Thank you, Simone. I am going to rebuild these boxes anyway, so I went ahead and purged the data. I will keep an eye on this one to see if it swells up quickly compared to my others. These have been through several upgrades so no telling what I might have messed up.
