packets dropped when bursting traffic
Hi there, I am struggling with a weird packet dropping situation. My environment is pfring zc with intel x520 nic. Only started a pfcount to count received packets by one of 10Gb port of this card. Everything went smoothly, except when a burst traffic up to 2Gb came in, ifconfig reported thousands packets were dropped. The reason I called it weird was when the traffic remained on the level of 2Gb, no packet dropped any more.

Any comment?

Hi
I replied to the other thread "[Ntop-misc] help with packet dropping when bursting traffic”
please do not open multiple threads for the same issue,
and better if you use https://github.com/ntop/pf_ring/issues <https://github.com/ntop/pf_ring/issues>
