Monitoring probe announced at Sharkfest Europe 2017
Hello Forum

I do have a question to the following topic at Sharkfest Europe 2017:

- how to build a low-cost remotemonitoring probe that can be used as a
remote Wireshark sensor

Can this monitoring probe also be used as a "recorder/probe" for a
network Tap? Can it be extended with a
second monitor port (send and receive traffic on different interfaces)
?
Thank you very much!

Joe
at Sharkfest we do not want to announce a wireshark-based product for sale.

For another project [and this we’ll talk during sharkfest] we have spent a lot of time on low-cost devices, we want to show you our experiences and explain how
- you can be inline “without’ a network tap on a low-cost device
- use wireshark
- also dump packets or stream them (see for instance http://www.ntop.org/ntopng/how-to-use-ntopng-for-realtime-traffic-analysis-on-fritzbox-routers/)

Will you show up at our Sharkfest meeting? I hope so

For those who want to attend it, this is the URL
