I'm getting NXDOMAINs for facebook.com and instagram.com at my home in
Kansas City. Recursive resolver is a local system, so this isn't related to
any ISP's recursive DNS hosts.

Facebook looks like a dns issue - I get SERVFAIL from quad 9s when attempting an nslookup. Cloudflare has no records, Google dns doesn’t know, opendns makes an exaggerated shrug gesture and looks worried
