Location of Maintenance: Berlin, Germany.



Summary Description of Maintenance: Annual Black Building test.

A Black Building test involves comprehensive testing of the building's
UPS and emergency power generators by controlled shut down of commercial
power supplies. The load will automatically switch to the diesel
generators, which have enough fuel, sufficient to supply the building
with maximum load for well over 24 hours. The UPS systems will ensure
continuity of power to critical plant and customer equipment housed at
the site whilst the generators start up.

The work will be undertaken and overseen by Level 3 Engineers, with
staff from the electrical plant manufacturers on-site, to provide
support and analyse the data collected during the test.



Equipment affected: All electrical equipment and plant in the facility
will be supplied by emergency power generators.



Customer Impact: No impact is expected to customer equipment housed at
the facility although, for few seconds whilst generators start up, there
will be loss of lighting, lifts and air-conditioning plant.
