what's the difference between vMX and vMX evaluation?
Hi! Experts

I see there are 2 download links for vMX, one is vMX, one is vMX
evaluation.

What's the difference between the two?

Thanks for your support.

On Paper the Eval is for public Evals
(https://www.juniper.net/us/en/dm/vmx-trial-download.html) and the
regular Downloads are for the paid version.

Image wise they are the same (down to the md5sum). The eval is quite old
(18.2) by now and the default eval license you get will only work on the
"old" image types (up until 19.1) as they changed the license format.

I would anticipate a newer eval version (and license) soon as 18.2 is
End of Engineering since June and will be end of Support in December.

In the meantime your SE or maybe your VAR should also be able to provide
newer images and working trial licenses if needed.

regards
Tobias
