Showing optical values on FastIron 07.3.00h
Hello,

is there any "hidden" command e.g. on 07.3.00h for printing out optical
values, when a link is not fully connected?

For example, using the same vendor optic between sites A and B, B shows
no TX,RX at all.

A:

# show optic 11
Port Temperature Tx Power Rx Power Tx Bias Current
+----+-----------+----------+------------+-------------------+
11 52.3906 C 000.8022 dBm -011.5676 dBm 30.178 mA
Normal Normal Normal Normal

# show interfaces ethernet 11 | include up
10GigabitEthernet11 is up, line protocol is up
Configured speed 10Gbit, actual 10Gbit, configured duplex fdx, actual
fdx

But site B:

# show interfaces ethernet 11 | include line
10GigabitEthernet11 is down, line protocol is down

#show optic 11
# (empty line)

Regards

Jörg

What does a show media look like?

A looped on itself? B the wrong port?

Hello Tim,

thanks for follow-up, someone whispered me a working solution by private mail.

debug system optics

will open up the show-command for not-connected links also:

# show optic 11
Port Temperature Tx Power Rx Power Tx Bias Current
+----+-----------+----------+------------+-------------------+
11 47.0078 C 001.8187 dBm -020.7058 dBm 30.200 mA
Normal Normal Low-Alarm Normal

From here on, I will escalate this locally.

Regards
Jörg
