dumb question
Greetings and Salutations!

I'm running :
nessusd (Nessus) 3.0.3. [build 180] for Linux
on this Ubuntu machine.
I'm trying to run the Nessus_Client version:
nessus (Nessus) 1.0.0 for Linux

When I try to connect to localhost I get this error

Remote host is not using the good version of the Nessus
communication protocol (1.2) or is tcpwrapped

Have I got something miss-configured, or what?

This error generally arises because the server is using SSL while the
client is not, or the other way around. To see what the nessusd is
using, look for a line starting with "ssl_version =" in nessusd.conf; if
it's missing, nessusd will use TLSv1.
