[Database-devel] Integration of NESSUS_SQL branch with the 2.2 release
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Some people might be wandering in what status is the NESSUS_SQL branch
(which was branched off 2.0) since the 2.2 release. Well, for those of
you who want to use the database integration code the bad news is that
the NESSUS_SQL branch has not yet been update (code has not been
remerged) the good news is that the file attached is a working patch
that integrates the code into this new release.

The MySQL code has been tested and should work fine. The PostgreSQL
code has not been tested and will probably not work (help is needed
here). There might still be some discrepancies between the documented
table schema and the ones actually used, but those will hopefully be
ironed out soon.

Testing of this code is very much appreciated, please send reports
either to this list directly (so others can benefit from it) or to
myself (if you want to keep a low profile)

Regards

Javier

PS: Please notice that there might be some Debian-specific changes
made to the Nessus sources in the attached patch, I have tried to
remove most of the Debian specific stuff but some might remain (for
example, I have not removed the PIDDIR definition)
