Autoexpire not working, not sure when it stopped working
I have about 4 recording rules that are set to limit the number or recordings to 10 or 15 available, and autoeixpire used to trim them to the count.
Some time in the recent past, they no longer get removed, and so no I have 20 to 50 instead of the limit referenced.

I do have the settings for the recordings record new and expire old as well as autoexpire recordings checked in addition to the quantity I wanted to keep set.

Any ideas what I need to look for?

I do see occasional records such as this in the logs..

May 19 08:03:54 mythpc mythbackend: mythbackend[1513225]: N Expire autoexpire.cpp:725 (ExpireEpisodesOverMax) Deleting 41002 at 2023-04-20T11:00:00Z => Toon in With Me. Too many episodes, we only want to keep 15.

When I do a search on the other series that I limit, there are no logs of them referenced with autoexpire. Even though I am seeing messages as above, The retained quantity does not drop down to the keep quantity.

The only difference that I see in the recording rules is that "Toon in with me” doesn’t have 'this channel' selected.

Help!

Regards,

Jay

If you're on: Debian 10, maridb 10.3.38:

Can you delete a recording manually? If not, then this may be why:

Solution's on page 5.
