I didn't see any replies as of yet so will suggest a few things.

For my capture device's configuration I need to go to a second page to
tell the device to record more than one channel on the transport.
Default is one and IIRC can go up to nine (I've only done two).  It is
also on the same channel, so can record Channel 6_1 and 6_3 (same
transport) but not 6_1 and 8_1 (two different transports).

Good viewing taste!  Recording it here, just haven't watched yet.

Thanks for the reply. Is this the capture cards menu you're talking about?
I don't see any such option there.

i think what he's talking about is in input connections, interactions
between inputs, and then 'max recordings' entry. i believe that allows
you multiple streams from the same transport using a single tuner with
hdhr.

The failure just happened while I was watching another recording. I tried
to launch the channel from program guide, and it couldn't get a lock. So I
think maybe MythTV is working as it should and it's a HDHR or antenna
positioning problem. I will double check the max recordings.

Just to be surr, I have two instances of the capture card, and two input
connections, one named HDHR1 and the other HDHR2, both pointing at the same
video source. This is correct, yes?

I may have experienced this problem too. If 2 recordings start at the same
time and one of the OTA locks is iffy it ~can~ take out both recordings.
My first gen never has this problem but my HDTC-2US does. I blamed SD as
that model has had problems from the beginning.
