use of 'unique identifier for mythfrontend preferences'
I seem to have a problem with using the mythfrontend setup-> general ->
database conf. -> custom identifier.

At least on the Raspberry Pi 4, I seem to have to set the configuration
twice before it sticks.

The best method I've found is to set the custom identifier, save and
exit the frontend. Then start mythfrontend again and this time make the
setup changes for the frontend.

What am I missing?

It's my impression that context-dependent menus are still using the
original context until the updated version has been re-loaded from the
DB. It's something one gets used to eventually - most of the time ;-)
