I was having a unresolved symbols error with snd.o after upgrading to
RH9 kernel. After digging thru the alsa list for a resolution to my
problem I found out:
Redhat added a posix layer to their source tree that causes a problem
with ALSA
0.9.3 and 0.9.4 versions [not sure about the older ones].
check the following touch line in:
http://freshrpms.net/packages/builds/alsa-driver/alsa-driver.spec
# Temporary Rawhide kernel workaround - Disable ALSA workqueue wrapper
touch include/linux/workqueue.h
Pre-compiled rpms are here:
http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/redhat/testing/alsa/
Hope this helps, Mike
