Bug? Wrong Date for Recordings in MythTV
I am using the 0.9 release and came upon an interesting problem this
evening. All of my recordings in MythTV show the airdate of Monday Feb
28. The times are correct but the date is wrong. The database has the
correct dates, and MythWeb is reporting the right dates. Where should I
look for the cause?

Sounds like you upgraded either your frontend or backend but not both.
Doublecheck to make sure you're running both new binaries since the
frontend -> backend protocol changed at least once along the line between
0.8 and 0.9.

Right. I upgraded the evening I 0.9 came out and everything was
fine until last night. I didn't make any changes last night at all
to the setup. It perplexed me very much. I installed 0.8 from the
RPMs originally so it is in /usr/bin, 0.9 is in /usr/local/bin but
like I said, it hadn't been a problem until last night. I just
removed the files though via ssh and mythfrontend won't run on the
vnc X server so I will have to wait to get home to see if that
helps. Any suggestions for other things to try if this doesn't fix
it?

Re: Bug? Wrong Date for Recordings in MythTV Solved [ In reply to ]
The combination of your post and then reading a later one about
someone's difficulties with the backend startup script caused me to
stumble upon it. I had been manually starting the backend since the
upgrade and last night I did switch to using the redhat services
doo-hickie... problem solved, it is/was starting the 0.8 backend :-)
