I'm a newcomer to the list, I've been following myth's development for a few
months, but I've just started attempting to put it to use.
and, of course, I jumped in both feet first... :)
I can successfully set up myth to be able to schedule shows to be recorded,
however, it appears that each time I start mythbackend it only records the first
show that is scheduled. that is to say if I had something like this:
scheduled shows:
6:00 sienfeld
6:30 simpsons
7:00 friends
the only show that would get recorded would be sienfeld, the other two wouldn't
get recorded. however, if I kill mythbackend, then start it again in the middle
of one of the next two, it will start doing the recording for that one(trying to
catch up on its duties, I assume)
I'm running myth 0.9.1 on the following setup:
dual PIII 550
>1gb ram
~80gb raid5 scsi
3 bt878/848 tuner cards via bttv/btaudio
no sound card -- this is meant to be a backend-only box
rtjpeg encoding at 180, mp3 quality 7. (eventually with transcoders)
one other thing: it seems that sometimes when two recordings are scheduled to
occur at the same time, it sometimes only starts recording one of the shows.
I don't see any error messages from mythbackend, it just doesn't seem to start
any recordings after the first one. anyone seen this one?
