Mysql on it's own box...

Has anyone setup a system with mysql on its on box and the frontend and backend on a box together? Seems like it would just be a matter of changing a
conifg file that points it to another box for mysql data.

I do it here. You just need to make sure your permissions are set up
correctly in the database. Then modify the
/usr/local/share/mythtv/mysql.txt file to point to the new server.
