best way to change initial setup options
What is the best way to change the inital setup options that can't be
accessed from the frontend setup. Is running the setup prog again the
only way to do it?

Pretty much, unless you're comfortable with raw SQL. Check the
archives; there might be a mention of a text mode setup program in
the last few weeks.

Yes, unless you REALLY know what you're doing and are comfortable tweaking the
database manually.

No, you can use my setup program
<http://www.bucksch.com/1/projects/various/mythtv/setup-kylix>. It is
missing the general options (IP addresses, frequency table etc.), but
cards, inputs, video sources and channels can be modified.

Install phpMyAdmin and run it. Easy interface to edit your database and
contents.
