mythmusic on RH 7.3?
Has anyone made mythmusic on RH 7.3? I got most of the way through the
build and then it died trying to compile/link? vorbisencoder. Here's
what it output trying to make mythmusic:

g++ -c -pipe -Wall -W -O3 -march=i586 -fomit-frame-pointer
-fexpensive-optimizations -finline-functions -I/usr/include/SDL
-D_REENTRANT -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -DPREFIX=\"/usr/local\"
-DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -I/usr/local/include
-I/usr/lib/qt3-gcc2.96/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/X11R6/include
-I/usr/lib/qt3-gcc2.96/mkspecs/default -o vorbisencoder.o vorbisencoder.cpp
vorbisencoder.cpp: In method `VorbisEncoder::VorbisEncoder (const
QString &, int, Metadata *)':
vorbisencoder.cpp:64: `OV_ECTL_RATEMANAGE_SET' undeclared (first use
this function)
vorbisencoder.cpp:64: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
for each function it appears in.)
make[1]: *** [vorbisencoder.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kslater/mythtv/mythmusic/mythmusic'
make: *** [sub-mythmusic] Error 2

I have packages installed for ogg, both the binaries and the -devel so I
was thinking I was ok there.

Also, I'm getting some warnings about upgrading to Qt 3.1, but I'd
rather use a package there and RH only seems to have 3.0.5 (which is
what's installed).

My guess is that you have some -I or -L directories missing when you
run ./configure.

The closest I could come up on Google is this thread:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/garnome-list/2003-January/msg00086.htm
l

It basically says that you need to update your vorbis stuff. What
version of vorbis do you have installed anyway?

I have it running on a couple of RH 7.3 boxes. It took a lot of package
rebuilding and installing to get the right dependencies. It's been some
time since I installed this, but here's a list of the packages I
installed. May or may not be complete... Some are not necessary for
Myth, but I had to remove/reinstall them when I changed other package
versions.

fftw-2.1.3-1.src.rpm
libao-0.8.3-3.i386.rpm
mpg321-0.2.10-1.src.rpm
libao-devel-0.8.3-3.i386.rpm
SDL_mixer-1.2.1-4.src.rpm
flac-1.0.4.tar.gz
libcdaudio-0.99.6
sndconfig-0.68-1.src.rpm
libcdaudio-0.99.6.tar.gz
sox-12.17.3-8.src.rpm
id3lib-3.8.2.tar.gz
libogg-1.0-1.src.rpm
vorbis-tools-1.0-1.src.rpm
libvorbis-1.0-1.src.rpm
xmms-1.2.7-1.i386.rpm
lame-3.93.1.tar.gz
mad-0.14.2b-4.src.rpm
xmms-devel-1.2.7-1.i386.rpm

Hope this helps.
Joe
