I have also had good success with bttv 0.9. Less cpu usage and better
quality in general. Did you have to manually replace your bttv.o with
the new one from building .9?

Yes, the bttv install puts the bttv.o in a different place than the kernel so I just moved it over. Much better capture with the 0.9 driver. The colors are what I would expect, basically well worth the five minutes it took to swap :)
