Help
Hi

In Thorndon and cannot get a full scan to find any channels.

When I scan I see channels 29, 33 , 35 & 37 cause myth backend show locked
waits a few seconds and says no channels.

Does anyone have any insights?

You are leaving us a bit short of information here to be able to help
you. Is this a new MythTV setup, or one that was working previously
and you now need to re-tune it due to having moved house? What
operating system and MythTV version are you using? What tuners? DVB-T
or DVB-S?

There are now four DVB-T multiplexes transmitted, with the channel
arrangements between the multiplexes varying slightly in different
areas. So when you run mythtv-setup for DVB-T, you should see it stop
and tune in four times. Since you are reporting that your scan is
seeing four channels, I am going to assume that you are using DVB-T.
But it is mythtv-setup that does the scanning, not mythbackend, so I
am not quite sure what you are actually reporting seeing.

Does your TV get all the channels? If so, it is not a reception
problem with your antenna, but still could be with your aerial wiring.

The recommendation from the developers when re-tuning seems to be that
you should use the "Delete all capture cards" option and then do a
full scan. Is that what you are trying to do?
