Hi Mark. I wanted to see if this system also showed the a/v drift.
It's playing now and I haven't yet seen drift there. I'll poke around
more and send logs if anything else comes up. Thanks.

I'd very much appreciate those logs for a non-working setup.

I understand you have managed to get playback working - but you
haven't solved the problem, you've just worked around it. So next time
the issue comes up, we'll be no further along and no nearer to a fix.

Mark

Hi Mark:
The system works with Setup > Video > Playback > OpenGL Normal >
Standard and OpenGL > Standard, 2 cpus, DeBlock filter, OpenGL video
renderer, deinterlacers both medium quality with no ticks.

If the VideoPlaybackProfile is changed to Normal, the video renderer
goes to OpenGL YV12 and the green screen playback returns.

I have uploaded the largely repetitive log from a brief greenscreen run
here:

Thanks John,

I had a pre-conception/inkling of what the problem might be - but
certainly wasn't expecting to see OpenGL 1.4 :)

I'm slightly surprised that it works at all. I'll put some checks in
to ensure similar setups always fall back to a supported OpenGL video
profile.

Thanks again and regards
Mark

John

I made a change for OpenGL 1.4 drivers. Playback should now work
regardless of whether OpenGL or OpenGL YV12 is used - though I suspect
on that system the non YV12 version will be faster.

Would be good to know if it works correctly.

Mark

Yes, many thanks for the quick fix. It's playing now with OpenGL YV12,
and before that T tried just OpenGL, which worked too. No critical
evaluations yet, though.

I'm building for el7 now. On that system I'm still getting 'dropping
frame to catch up' messages that seem to be correlated with the lipsync
drifts there and absent on the 'buntu system, on which the screen runs
at 60.00 Hz.
