The current design requires that when you have multiple monitors, you
need to set the Xinerama options in settings appropriately:
----
Display on screen
Run on the specified screen or spanning all screens.
----
and
----
Monitor aspect ratio
16:9
16:10
4:3
The aspect ratio of a Xinerama display cannot be queried from the
display, so it must be specified.
----

(Note, too, that the "Monitor aspect ratio" is a different setting from
"Video aspect override".)

Never had to set the monitor aspect ratio when running with more than 1
head. Only ever had to tell it which screen to use.
