AVSync2 problems
I am not happy with the latest patch in my ticket
https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/13383
The action upon jumping is rather jarring. I will make some changes to
try and get it a bit smoother.

I have noticed lately that sometimes when I start playback of a
recording, the audio is out of sync (on fire-stick 4K). Attempts to fix
it with the audio sync adjustment all fail. The sync adjustment seems to
have no effect. However stopping playback and starting it again fixes
it. This is regardless of whether the above mentioned patch has been
installed or not. Has anybody else noticed this?

I'm not running your latest patch, but I put this comment on 'users'

Do we know why the sync is so far off after jumping? Knowing that
would probably help to determing the best fix. As I mentioned
somewhere, the ultimate fix might need to be adaptive in some way
where the first few jumps are jarring until the code learns the
peculiarities of the current recording and adjusts accordingly for
succeeding jumps.

In my cases, the video is always behind the audio after forward jumps
and needs to catch up. If the cause is that the video, decoding is
slower to ramp back up, one possible fix would be to delay playing the
audio until the video is ready. Strangely, in my cases, the sync is
usally pretty good right after backward jumps. I'm not sure why that
is. I would expect them to be about the same.

I have not noticed that.
