Font Smoothing
I keep seeing the screen shots, where the fonts look smoothed
(anti-aliased, I believe is the technical term, at least the Photoshop
term :)), and then I look at mine, and they are jagged. Is this a
feature of the OS or of Myth...if it of Myth, how do you enable it?

If you are using KDE, then go into the system configuration under the
fonts section of look and feel and check the anti-aliased box. If not,
then just make sure this is set before you start your QT based apps.

QT_XFT=1
export QT_XFT

That should do the trick.
