Tom,

The real server has the clients source IP address and replies just
like it would to any other client.
It is unaware of the presence of a load balancer.
The real server can connect to the internet just like any other client
behind a NAT firewall i.e. masqueraded behind a firewall IP address.
I've never seen a firewall that has an issue with the split return traffic.

Hi:

There doesn't have to be one. The real_server replies directly to the client, with the VIP as source address. For the client, this makes no difference.

In DR mode , whether is the virtual ip a private ip address or public
ip address ?
as the document says ,the realserver and balance loader are in a same
local network , also I want to ask do they need a router
to transform packets to external network ?
