PVR-150 recording in black and white
I have a PVR-350 and a PVR-150 on Fedora Core 6 MythTv using IVTV
0.8.2. On many occasions the PVR-150 records in black and white.
Sometimes it records in color and sometimes in black and white. I
don't know why, and I'm wondering if the card has gone bad, or if I
need to initialize the 150 differently. I upgraded from Fedora Core 3
about a month ago, but I can't recall if had this issue before
upgrading. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I posted the above message a couple of weeks ago, but received no
response. The PVR150 recorded in black&white again last night, so I
thought I would probe the list once again and see if anyone has any
ideas.

Since the original email I have upgraded IVTV, so I snipped the old
IVTV info and pasted the new log information below:

If this happens again, can you run 'v4l2-ctl --log-status' while the
recording is still in progress and post the output here? Perhaps I can
see anything in the log.

Also note that I know of one case (a PVR USB2 which has very similar
hardware) where B&W recording was indeed caused by a fault of the
hardware. The easiest check would be to try it under Windows.

Regards,

Hans

Re: PVR-150 recording in black and white [ In reply to ]
problem fixed

downloaded from SVN

and changed src/v4l2.c

from

v4l2_std_id std = 0xff;
to

v4l2_std_id std = V4L2_STD_PAL_BG;

and compiled it works
