GEAM 0.8.2 released
Hi!

After quite along time where GEAM exists only in the CVS without an
officially released tarball, I have released it today in the more
usual way.

ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/geam/geam-0.8.2.tar.gz (148k)
ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/geam/geam-0.8.2.tar.gz.sig

[.No MD5 sums - check the signature; you need GnuPG anyway.]

Be warned that installation is not easy and that the manual (or
whatever you want to call this write up) is in German. However there is
an English man page and some examples available.

So what is GEAM? It is a simple SMTP proxy which can be plugged
between real MTAs to encrypt and decrypt mails on the file. This way
you can easily start to use OpenPGP MIME compliant encryption between
different sites without the need for having OpenPGP aware MUAs. GEAM
protects your mails against sniffing done outside your own site.

Have fun,

Werner
