Nothing happens??

root # emerge moo
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "moo".

!!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.

If that's an easter egg, sure...

But then again "emerge marry-poppins" or "emerge easter-bunny" is an
easter egg too.

It must be new then since I'm running portage-2.0.51_pre20. Here are the
results on my system:

garath ~ # emerge moo

Gentoo Linux

(oo)
/------\/

* /\---/\
~~ ~~

...."Have you mooed today?"...

Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "moo".

OK, that's weird (and sad, since that ASCII cow is quite cute)-- I get
no results from any of these eggs. Using Portage -2.0.50-r10. But do I
have a vague memory of somewhere seeing an "easteregg" USE flag (similar
to the "offensive" flag) which I have never used, or am I just delusional?

That's really cheaply ripped off APT, no? ;D, but hey, that makes it funnier.

For those who are not familiar with Super Cow:

jd64:/backup# apt-get moo

(oo)
/------\/
/ | ||
* /\---/\
~~ ~~
...."Have you mooed today?"...

They probably copy-pasted it.

[14:21:54 alexander@server:/var] $ sudo emerge moo
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "moo".

!!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.

Oh, is *that* why apt always said "This APT has Super Cow Powers." I
never understood that..

Yeah, yeah, but how do you get the Super Cow (or even the Super Cow
Copy), if you don't have it???!!!

Have pity on us with no eggs to put in our one basket...

1. That only works on portage .51
2. Now that you've told everyone, Nick will have to change it.
