sddm woes
It seems that every time I upgrade kde, sddm stops working.
The annoying thing is that I can't tell what is going wrong.

ALl I get is an underline (cursor presumably) in the top left corner of the
screen and nothing else. Its not responsive to keyboard and I have to power
cycle to get the machine back.

In my user account I can "startx" which is what I'm using now.
I hated switching from kdm which was reliable, to sddm which seems
extremely flaky.
I tried switching to lightDM but the lightdm-kde-greeter is not in the
gentoo software list yet, only the lightdm-gtk-greeter which seems to be
gnome.

Does anyone have any hints on how to either fix sddm or find out why it
doesn't work?
