hi all,
I have installed gentoo on a machine with alpha architecture. When i
try to start ypbind service it givem me following error.
* Setting NIS domainname to cfdvs.iitb.ac.in... [ ok ]
* ERROR: Problem starting needed services.
* "ypbind" was not started.
portmapper and network services are running properly. nfs mounting also
works correctly but nis service gives the error.
can somebody throw some light on this?? any help would be greatly
appreciated.
