Exim 4.96-RC1 released
The next Release Candidate for 4.96, RC1, is not available from

- as tarball: https://ftp.exim.org/pub/exim/exim4/test
- directly from Git: https://git.exim.org
tag exim-4.96-RC1

The signatures on the release tarballs (and this mail) should be
mine, key ID 0xBCE58C8CE41F32DF.

Please test and give feedback on the RC so that we can shake out
issues before 4.96 goes official.

No further feature-additions will be accepted; bugfixes only
between now and 4.96.

Changes since RC0:

- The docs now point out variables that are very likely to carry
tainted values
- ACL-initiated debug is now continued past spooling, for delayed
deliveries
- Recipient verify callouts now set $domain_data & $local_part_data,
with de-tainted values

Re: Exim 4.96-RC1 released [ In reply to ]
I have trouble compiling this with SRS support and I can see that the
src/srs.h and .c are missing. I do have SUPPORT_SRS=yes in the makefile
and also have the latest libsrs2 libs installed, am I missing something?

The old EXPERIMENTAL_SRS was withdrawn. It used those files and the libsrs_alt
library.

SRS support is now included as native (controlled by the makefile SUPPORT_SRS).
What build error do you see?

Re: Exim 4.96-RC1 released [ In reply to ]
I do not get a build error, I do get this error

main option "srs_config" unknown

leaving it out I get this

option "srs" unknown

so it doesn't look like the SRS is compiled in (or has the config
changed??)  and yes, I do have SUPPORT_SRS=yes in the Local/Makefile

Re: Exim 4.96-RC1 released [ In reply to ]
I see what the problem is, configure has to be rewritten for the
embedded SRS, will have a look at it later.
