It works for me. You did restart exim with the new config?
What does "exim -bP log_file_path" report?

Yes, exim was restarted, also as entire server.

exim -bP log_file_path
log_file_path = /var/spool/exim/log/%s/%D.log

I have another system with exim 4.94 and there's ok, but here bug on 4.94.2.
