EAI bug report for Exim

Dear Exim team,

We would like to file a bug report regarding Email Address Internationalization
(EAI) issues in Exim on behalf of Universal Steering Acceptance Group (UASG:
https://uasg.tech/). This follows an extensive study undertaken by UASG on
Evaluation of EAI Support in Email Software and Services (UASG030:
https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG030-en-digital.pdf) using
the testing methodology
(https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG021B-en-digital.pdf) and
test cases
(https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG021B-en-digital-EAI-Pilot-Test-Cases.xlsx)
published.

Please find the detailed testing results in the attached report.

Why Support EAI
The next billion Internet users will likely come from non-English speaking
countries. Providing access for these users will require support for EAI,
beyond supporting multilingual content. EAI provides greater access options for
all Internet users and improves the user experience (UX). The users are more
likely to deploy tools and applications that support their local needs and
promote standards and best practices.

About UASG
UASG is a community-led initiative founded in 2015 for undertaking activities
to promote the Universal Acceptance of all valid domain names and email
addresses. Members from more than 120 companies (including Apple, GoDaddy,
Google, Microsoft, and Verisign), governments, and community groups. For more
information visit https://uasg.tech/.

Regards,

UASG EAI Working Group
