[Bug 2596] New: Changing the default value for the hosts_noproxy_tls option breaks the use of smtp authorization
https://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2596

Bug ID: 2596
Summary: Changing the default value for the hosts_noproxy_tls
option breaks the use of smtp authorization
Product: Exim
Version: 4.93
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: bug
Priority: medium
Component: Transports
Assignee: unallocated@exim.org
Reporter: prospero_ne@mail.ru
CC: exim-dev@exim.org

When using Exim as MTA for sending mail through an external smtp, while sending
emails from different users of the same smtp server, the hosts_noproxy_tls
option in the unset value allows you to send mail without authorization to an
existing smtp session.

Since version 4.93 the default value of the option has been changed:

JH/21 The smtp transport option "hosts_noproxy_tls" is now unset by default.
A single TCP connection by a client will now hold a TLS connection open
for multiple message deliveries, by default. Previoud the default was to
not do so.

This breaks the logic of work using multi-user smtp authorization.
