You could run FreshClam on a computer that is connected to the Internet,
and periodically copy the CVD files over to the air-gapped computer,
just as you would have done before.

The difference is that before you'd download the CVD files manually and
then copy them, now you'll use FreshClam and copy them.

no. Excessive downloading of those was the reason they were blocked.

...it seems that yahoo webmail replaces newlines in plaintext by no empty
space, thus concatenating them with no separators. Shame.

I do not understand your message. It appears to be garbled.

You so not appear to explain what you are doing, so I do not know.

I am *guessing* that what you are doing is considered by the ClamAV
team to be an abuse of their service. In that case they will have
blocked your access to it.

Please do not tell us only what happens when you do something.

Please tell us what you do which produces the response.

Please include the IP address(es) which you are using.

Then we might be able to help you.

Alternatively - if you are trying to download the ClamAV database
directly instead of using one of the two approved methods which you
have already been given - then stop doing that, and perhaps ask Joel
nicely if he would be prepared to remove the block from your IP(s)
IF AND ONLY IF the abuse has stopped.

Clamav.net is broken...

Chrome shows an invalid certificate. If I go to www.clamav.net, I get a
certificate for 'ssl392509.cloudflaressl.com which expired on 13 October
2020...

I've attached a screenshot

Now I'm getting the 1020 error

Note that this is for the MAIN ClamAV website https://www.clamav.net -
NOT trying to download CVD files or similar.

(FWIW, I'm trying to connect from the UK)

Try a different browser?

FWIW I can grab the ClamAV home page OK with both wget and curl and
I'm using IPv6 transport...
